Events this Week

We have a couple of big events coming up this week.  Here are the details:

Jog-a-thon: TOMORROW, 5/23

-Wear PE uniform

-All students will be jogging/walking laps!

-Send in your sponsorship forms TOMORROW, please!

-We'll update you on the number of laps your child did, and then ask you to turn in the money earned on Friday, 6/3. 

Spring Concert: Thursday, 5/26 6:00 p.m.

-Students should meet in the classroom at 5:45 p.m.

-Girls: wear nice dresses; Boys: wear black pants and a light colored, nice shirt

-Grades K, 1, and 2 should end around 6:45, and there will be a short break.  You have two choices at this point: 

~If you have an older child who will be performing that night (I believe chorus and guitar) your child will go sit with you before the second part of the show starts.

~If you don't have any other children performing that night you can leave once K, 1, and 2 are done with their performances. 

-Last year we returned to the classroom after our performance.  I imagine that will be the same this year, so you'll have to pick up your child from the classroom either way.  

STAR Testing 

We'll be starting our last set of STAR tests this week.  Our first test will be on Tuesday, 5/24. Please encourage your child to do their best and really show us what they know!  Other testing dates for our class will be in tomorrow's newsletter.  

NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, 5/27, AND MONDAY 5/30. Enjoy the long weekend!
